 the event\n\nYou're invited to a private reading of The Hunters and the H
 unted\, a Ukrainian musical co-written by Kyrylo Beskorovainyi\, Anton Hum
 aniuk\, and Bohdan Reshetilov. Directed by Lisa Rafferty\, the event will 
 feature live piano by Ruslan Ramazanov\, 11 songs (in English)\, and selec
 ted scenes.\n\nThe one-hour reading will be followed by a 15-minute conver
 sation with creators and Stew Stewart\, Tony Award and two-time Obie Aw
 ard-winning playwright and performer.\n\nFirst premiered at the Kyiv Natio
 nal Academic Operetta Theatre in June 2023 in Ukraine\, The Hunters and th
 e Hunted has won a prestigious Ukrainian award – the Kyiv Pektoral. The
  story follows Gregory\, a resilient 25-year-old Ukrainian engineer\, fals
 ely condemned to 25 years of forced labour. He escapes from the train head
 ing to GULAG against all odds\, guided by the unyielding motto: "Luck favo
 urs the brave."  Internationally it premiered at the Harvard University i
 n April 2025.\n\nThrough Gregory's journey\, the musical weaves history an
 d contemporary events\, celebrating Ukraine's cultural heritage while exam
 ining the struggle between oppression and freedom.\n\nThis is an invitatio
