About the event
On April 24, 1979, Ukraine’s most beloved songwriter, Volodymyr Ivasyuk, vanished from the streets of Lviv. Less than a month later, the nation lost a musical genius whose melodies had become the voice of entire generations.
Join in honoring the 46th anniversary of his passing at a special memorial evening on April 26 at Ukrainian Home. Valeriia Vovk, alongside guitarist Michele Romeo, will perform 12 acoustic renditions of Ivasyuk’s timeless songs, reflecting on his life and his immeasurable impact on Ukraine’s musical heritage.
Come to listen, sing along, and celebrate the legacy of this extraordinary artist.
