We are honored to open the Ukrainian Cultural Festival 2026 at Carnegie Hall!

Join us for an extraordinary afternoon celebrating the power, depth, and endurance of Ukrainian music on Sunday, October 18th.

The American premiere of Oleg Bezborodko’s “Steel, Violet, Rage” — the first four-hands piano concerto by a Ukrainian composer. The piece was deeply inspired by the poetry of 33-year-old fallen Ukrainian soldier Maksym Kryvtsov.
The composer will travel directly from Ukraine to join us for a post-performance Q&A.

Ukrainian-born husband-and-wife duo Anna Shelest and Dmitri Shelest, performing with the Brandywine Symphony Chamber Orchestra under Artistic Director Michael Hall.

Additional works by Valentin Silvestrov, Samuel Barber, and Philip Glass.
Special thanks to our partner, Alexander & Buono, for making this opening event possible!
