We are seeking a Director of Annual Giving that can lead the development and execution of a comprehensive, multi-channel annual giving program.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Director of Annual Giving is responsible for acquiring, cultivating, retaining, and reactivating donors through a multi-channel annual giving fundraising program each year. This includes direct mail, email campaigns, digital fundraising, peer-to-peer fundraising, and stewardship initiatives. The Director of Annual Giving works across multiple departments to expand Razom’s annual giving and engagement programs, including special fundraising campaigns.
The Director of Annual Giving reports to the Chief Advancement Officer and works alongside the Advancement team.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Leadership & Program Management:
• Lead the implementation of a comprehensive, multi-channel (direct mail, e-newsletter, email, call, social media, and live-event) annual giving strategy and work plan, including messaging, timing, and audience segmentation.
• Develop and execute engagement strategies and communications for key annual giving segments including unassigned donors, first-time donors, lapsed donors, renewals, middle-to-major donor upgrades, and other segments.
• Partner with the Communications team to create marketing strategies, multi-channel solicitations, and other collateral for the annual giving program.
• Collaborate on building and maintaining an organized calendar to execute the communications/marketing efforts for the annual giving program.
• Liaise with Communications, firms, and vendors to design and manage a comprehensive direct mail program and digital giving strategy for solicitation design, production, proofing, and mailing.
• Research and monitor competitive information, industry trends, and other environmental factors to identify impact to current strategies.
Donor Relations & Stewardship:
• Manage automated and personalized acknowledgment processes.
• Oversee public/private recognition and stewardship programs to demonstrate donor impact and foster long-term engagement.
• Build relationships with a portfolio of mid-level donors, ensuring personalized correspondences, tailored giving opportunities, communications, donor updates, invites, etc
• Collaborate with CAO and Major Gifts Officer to develop and implement strategies to identify and expand qualified annual donors into the major giving pipeline.
• Coordinate any campaign-related development and stewardship events.
Team Leadership & Collaboration:
• Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of fundraising professionals and support staff.
• Partner with the Major Gifts and Grants teams to align annual giving efforts with broader fundraising strategies.
• Engage with Board members and volunteers to support peer-to-peer fundraising initiatives.
Data & Technology Management:
• Work closely with the data team to ensure accurate donor segmentation, data hygiene, reporting, and analysis.
• Track, analyze, and report key performance metrics to measure effectiveness in maximizing revenue and engagement, and to inform decisions on strategic planning, assessment, and budgeting.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
• Minimum of 7-10 years experience in annual giving, fundraising, or a related role, with a proven track record of achieving revenue goals.
• Expertise in multi-channel fundraising, including direct mail, digital campaigns, and donor stewardship.
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, including report writing and presentation.
• Proficiency in CRM systems (Humanitru) and fundraising analytics.
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders, including donors, staff, and volunteers.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
• Entrepreneurial with an ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasked environment, with an openness to new ideas and their implementation.
• Ability to work collaboratively across organizational lines, and to excel in an environment that emphasizes teamwork and collaboration.
• High energy and passion for Razom’s mission is essential.
• Proficiency of Ukrainian language/knowledge of Ukrainian audiences is a strong plus.

Final salary based on experience, qualifications, and scope of work.
