About the event
The Guitar Foundation of America (GFA) and the New York City Classical Guitar Society (NYCCGS), in partnership with Razom for Ukraine, present a special solo concert by Marko Topchii, one of the most decorated classical guitarists of his generation.
Born in Ukraine, Marko has won over 100 international awards, including 55+ First Prizes at prestigious competitions worldwide. His most recent recording was released under the Naxos Laureate Series following his 2023 Grand Prize win at the GFA International Concert Artist Competition.
Marko’s performances have captivated audiences at venues including Carnegie Hall, Salle Cortot in Paris, and Yamaha Ginza Hall in Tokyo. In this concert, he brings his refined technique, expressive depth, and Ukrainian spirit to the stage of Weill Hall.
This event also highlights the resilience of Ukrainian culture and the power of music in times of war. A portion of proceeds will benefit Razom for Ukraine, supporting education, advocacy, and cultural programs in Ukraine.
