OVERVIEW OF ROLE

Razom for Ukraine is seeking a strategic, detail-oriented Programs Officer to help drive coordination, impact measurement, and alignment across Razom’s five programs. This role is central to advancing Razom’s mission by strengthening internal collaboration, supporting program design and execution, and ensuring grant deliverables are met with excellence. Leveraging strategic planning and impact-driven frameworks, the Programs Officer acts as a connective hub between program teams, organizational leadership, and external stakeholders – facilitating seamless operations and fostering continuous improvement.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Program Planning & Coordination

Lead the mechanics of the annual programming plan, including project portfolio planning, setting annual objectives, and aligning with the organization’s theory of change.

Translate program plans into detailed budgets in collaboration with finance and program leads.

Support program leads in designing and structuring their projects to ensure clarity, feasibility, and alignment with organizational goals.

Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability & Learning (MEAL)

Develop and implement systems to measure program impact and effectiveness.
Provide tools and methods to structure, track, and report on program outcomes.

Ensure programmatic learning is captured and shared internally for continuous improvement.

 

Grants & Donor Stewardship

Serve as the internal grants officer, ensuring grant deliverables are met and communicated effectively.

Collaborate with the Advancement team to craft timely, compelling reports for donors.

Monitor program progress against grant commitments and coordinate updates for donor stewardship.

Cross-Functional Communication & Coordination

Act as liaison between program leads and Advancement, serving as a project manager for communicating programmatic work to donors.

Coordinate internal communications about programs, including updates for board meetings, quarterly meetings, and staff-wide briefings.

Take notes and track follow-up items during program lead calls.

Work closely with external communications lead to support storytelling and messaging around programs.

 

Stakeholder Engagement & Internal Leadership

Build strong working relationships with program leads and support them in project implementation and reporting.

Contribute to quarterly organizational meetings by presenting updates and connecting programmatic work with the leadership team and advancement function.

Identify and propose opportunities to improve cooperation between programs and other departments.

Qualifications:

3–6 years of experience in nonprofit program management, project coordination, or a related role.

Demonstrated experience with program planning, budgeting, and impact evaluation.

Strong understanding of grants management and donor reporting requirements.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Fluency in English.

Strong organizational and project management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities.

Comfortable working independently with minimal oversight while coordinating across diverse teams.

Proficiency in tools like Google Workspace, project management platforms (e.g., Asana), and data tracking systems.

Preferred Skills:

Familiarity with Theory of Change frameworks and MEAL methodologies.

Experience working with donor-facing teams and crafting narrative reports.

Background in nonprofit or international development sectors.

Fluency in Ukrainian.

SALARY RANGE 

$65,000-$95,000

 

Final salary based on experience and qualifications as well as finalized scope of work.
