Ukraine can win this war and you can help

Razom Advocacy is a branch of Razom for Ukraine committed to advancing nonpartisan research and policy and to nurturing community engagement across the United States and Ukraine. We work together with experts, policy-makers, and constituents to help build a more democratic and prosperous Ukraine.

Razom Advocacy’s mission is supported by broad networks of supporters, including donors, experts, advocates, and partner organizations. We provide resources and tools for these networks to engage in advocacy.

what we are doing

HOW you can join

Contact Representatives

The officials you elected have immense power to help Ukraine win this war and you have the power to ask them for assistance.

If you are in the US, you can contact your representatives and senators, as well as the White House.  We have some guides on how to do this, including a sample letter here: US Advocacy Guide

If you are outside of the US, the following document provides further information: Global Advocacy Guide

Post to your Social Media

Post to Facebook, Twitter, and other platforms.  Sample messages you can use are available here: Advocacy Messaging.

We regularly organize collective calls to action such as Twitter storms and telethons.  Sign up for our newsletter below to hear about the next one.

Join Advocacy Team TODAY

Our team is looking for new interns and volunteers. Please apply here: JOIN ADVOCACY TEAM. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Internships above are for the Spring and Summer cycles.

If you’re a community leader or have advocacy expertise, reach out to the team at advocacy@razomforukraine.org.

what we are asking for

EXPEDITED MILITARY AID

The Russian military is bombarding residential areas and targeting civilians and evacuation zones. Incompletely or belatedly meeting Ukraine’s military needs increases the risk of a long and bloody war of attrition with high civilian casualties, war crimes, and genocide.

We ask Congress to work with the Administration to bolster Ukrainian airpower and tank forces, particularly in light of the monumental successes of the recent counteroffensive.

Europe will not be stable unless Ukraine prevails against the invasion. The United States must provide more advanced systems and munitions, in particular precision-strike long-range weapons, like ATACMS.

SANCTIONS

We ask members of Congress to strengthen sanctions to
decrease Russia’s capacity to make war, violate international humanitarian laws, and commit atrocities.

Sanctions must change incentive structures for individuals involved in carrying out the invasion.

The U.S. should target sanctions against material-service providers circumventing the Controlled Sales Regime and support Russian oil price cap efforts underway.

FINANCIAL SUPPORT

The larger-scale economic support is imperative for Ukraine to keep fighting and win. Ukraine currently needs $5B per month to cover essential government services and keep its economy functioning.

MEDICAL SUPPLIES

Bulk orders (>300,000) of basic individual first aid kits (IFAKs) are the most pressing medical need.

STATE SPONSOR OF TERRORISM

The U.S. must designate Russia a State Sponsor of Terrorism.

Were honored to feature Texas Congressman and Chair of the House Foreign Affairs Committee Mr. Michael McCaul in our #FacesOfFreedom campaign in honor of Ukrainian Independence Day! 🇺🇦

“Supporting Ukraine and standing up to unprovoked aggression that violates sovereignty and territorial integrity is in the U.S. and free world’s interest, especially with China closely watching the world’s response to Russia’s full-scale invasion. Razom is critical in keeping up this support by educating the American people on why a victory for Ukraine is imperative.”

Thank you for your kind words and for all your support of Ukraine, Mr. McCaul. 🙏 You are a face of freedom!

We thank ALL of Congress for its unwavering and crucial support of Ukraine not only over the last year and a half, but the last 32+ years. 💙💛

Its amazing to walk down the halls of Congress, as the Razom Advocacy team often does, and see so many signs of support for Ukraine - from Ukrainian flags to We stand with Ukraine posters.

How are you celebrating Ukrainian Independence Day today? Use the #FacesOfFreedomhashtag to share! 🤩

russia is a terrorist state and needs to be recognized as such.

Head to the Razom Advocacy Action Center to find easy-to-follow steps for calling and emailing YOUR Congress representatives about declaring russias actions in Ukraine a genocide, designating the Wagner Group a Foreign Terrorist Organization, and more:
https://www.votervoice.net/mobile/RAZOMFORUKRAINE/home

Earlier today, russia launched a targeted and deadly attack on a drama theater in the northern Ukrainian city of Chernihiv.

There was a widely-attended event happening inside the theater at the time of the attack. russia knew what it was doing and the irreparable damage it was causing.

As of now, there are confirmed 7 people dead and more than 90 injured - including more than 11 injured children.

russias war crimes must be recognized by the whole world and the war criminals must be brought to justice.

I would put it like this to NATO: The longer you deny Ukraines admission into NATO, the more of a threat Russia and Russia's allies become to the West. The longer you play political games to ensure your image and prestige are not marred by a reality, a nightmare of nuclear war, created in your mind by Putin, the stronger Russia and Russia's grow in the real world. Every minute you waste over analyzing the outcome of Ukraine being admitted to NATO. the forces of Russia and Russia's allies advance across the world. Precrastination in admitting Ukraine in NATO will only continue to seed fear and doubt in the minds of the voter of each NATO nation. The voter determines who is elected to office. not the politician. And as such. all policians dissenting against admiiting Ukraine into NATO. will be voted out of office, never to return. The voters expectations are for a free Ukraine. It is the voter that will bear the outcome of admitting Ukraine into NATO, not the politician. As free members of nations of the West and Asia, the Middle East and other nations not mentioned, it is our job to ensure Ukraine is admiitted into NATO to ensure Ukraine is free and protected. The voters duty is to ensure nations are free and do become barbaric despot nations like Russia, where the voter is only a paper tiger. Through the sacrifice of our ancestors on many battlefields that have led us to this moment in time, those sacrifices will not have been in vain, the voter wont allow politicians to create such vainities, and as such God has given the voter the power not the politician or media, the power to control destiny. Both of which must be reminded that when they have gone the way of the Devil, like Putin has, the politician must be reminded who is in charge. Admit Ukraine into NATO or be cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where your idle eyes will watch the rot and decay consume the West. 🧭 Razom Advocacy is leading a campaign for #UkraineInNATO.

In 6 days, NATO allies will meet in Vilnius to decide the future of the alliance, and have the chance to make history. In 2008, NATO promised Ukraine that membership was its future - but has taken no clear steps to make it happen. Russia has only stepped up its aggression, while the Ukrainian people have defended their democracy through revolution.

👉 Now, Ukrainians are defending their country with their lives.

👉 Now, NATO can help secure stability and safety for the alliances’ future and take critical step to end bloodshed in Ukraine by providing Ukraine a clear roadmap to ascension to NATO as soon as possible.

👉 Now, it’s time for #UkraineInNATO

this is a great ad to have run in the Washington Post. Bravo! (at least I was told that it ran in the WP - I don't see the print edition and the digital edition does not carry ads).
