First 100k Spent on Medical Supplies

Within the Emergency Response efforts, our team is working day and night on finding and purchasing the needed medical supplies.


The initial plan was to purchase everything needed in Ukraine, but as it usually happens Ukrainian suppliers ran out of gear and med materials within the first orders from the government. Our current plan is to purchase medical supplies in the US and Europe and deliver it to Ukraine as soon as possible.
At the moment we have ordered life-saving medical supplies for the amount of about $100,000 and continue purchasing as you are reading this post.


Among the first purchases are:
– Rescue CAT Tourniquets (GEN 7),
– Israeli Emergency Bandages (6″, 100/box),
– QuilClot Combat Gauzes (Z Fold),
– IV Start Kits,
– Nasopharyngeal Airways,
– Bag Valve Masks,
– Sterile ABD Pads
– and Iridium Satellite Phones.


The receipts for $50K are attached. We highly value transparency and will share the other receipts soon, as well as all the updates of further purchases. Please, be patient, it’s an emergency, and we are doing our best.

Statement on the Current Situation

NEW YORK – Razom for Ukraine has issued the following statement regarding the ongoing crisis:

The United States must act immediately. The future of Europe and the world is at stake. Millions of Ukrainian lives will be affected.  It is naive to believe that this kind of unprovoked attack and disruption of the world order will not affect Americans as well.

Razom for Ukraine is making an urgent plea for the following action plan:

  • Protect Ukrainian air space
    • Along with European and NATO allies, request the enforcement of a “no-fly” zone over Ukrainian territory
  • Continue to transfer defensive weaponry and equipment to Ukraine
  • Cut Russia off the SWIFT international banking system and levy additional sanctions against Russia
  • Fully isolate Russian Federation leadership from the international community by all means
  • Deliver financial assistance to strengthen the economy of Ukraine
  • Provide humanitarian assistance

Oxygen concentrators delivered to more Ukrainian hospitals

Our second fundraiser in support of Ukrainian hospitals fighting COVID-19 is going strong. As yet another spike in new cases has swamped the country, medical institutions and non-profit organizations from all over Ukraine are in search of life-saving oxygen for patients who cannot do without air support. Your recent donations helped purchasing the three more oxygen concentrators that were delivered to clinics and hospital in three different oblasts, all specifically focused on treating the coronavirus patients.

Thus, one concentrator was delivered to the Vorokhta outpatient clinic (Ivano-Frankivsk region), one more to the Shiryaiv CDH (Odessa region), and another one to the Bilokorovytsia outpatient clinic (Zhytomyr region).

We thank everyone for your support, generous donations and information sharing! We are also thankful for the outstanding cooperation with the non-profit Patients of Ukraine (Patsienty Ukrainy), who have been working hard to find, purchase and deliver the much-needed medical equipment to various Ukrainian cities, towns and villages!

Emergency Response Webinars

The safer-at-home mode requests a different way of Razom meetings. As a part of the Emergency Response we have organized a series of webinars to cover various burning topics – from the basics of the coronavirus, to legal support to those “got stuck” because of quarantine and closed borders, to q&a with the one, who has experienced the travel back to Ukraine during this time.

We no longer could invite all our friends and volunteers to the office or a face-to-face meeting, but we still had to share essential information about the ongoing situation around COVID-19. That’s how the webinar series “Про коронавірус зрозумілою мовою” (Сoronavirus. Explained) has started. And the first three webinars showed the pandemic from three different standpoints:

– by Nataliya Smolynets, an infectious disease doctor (part 1 & part 2);
– by Iryna Kit, a Mount Sinai Hospital nurse, NYC (recording);
– and by our Razom volunteer Dr. Olya Yarychkivska, science of genetics, who explained the up-to-date scientific research of coronavirus and shared some useful additional resources and links – see below (recording). 

Further, we have had two webinars with our own Iryna Mazur, who shared the latest news and essential information for many Ukrainians who unfortunately got their travels postponed due to the closed borders, and quarantine measures in both countries (Ukraine and the US). You can find the recording here.

The final webinar was with Andriy Polishchuk, a Co-Pilot Project participant, who happened to be in the US for his neurosurgery internship, and had to leave because of the overall shutdown. Andriy shared his experience during the internship and his return trip to Ukraine and the quarantine measures (recording).

We are incredibly grateful to our speakers and presenters for their time, for the shared knowledge, so much needed at these challenging times! Pandemic Response Support

Currently, Razom Emergency Response is focused on providing support to Ukraine and to Ukrainian doctors in their fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. We are raising funds to buy and distribute personal protective equipment to doctors in hospitals which are dedicated to battling the disease. Our volunteers are working with several organizations to raise the funds, to source the material, and to distribute the goods responsibly.
